In 2010, Waler released Formulas, their debut album. By a stroke of temporal misfortune it also turned out to be the year that the physical album ceased to be a viable artistic artform. Not many seemed to notice at the time. Due to the band's inability to sell CD copies and the increasing absurdity of selling music at all... Waler decided to burn all the CDs they had pressed up to sell.

This decision put a strain on the band's relationship with their record label, and earned them hostile anti-plaudits online and among the local music scene. Some thought it an act of pretentious, wasteful folly, some thought it a worthwhile artistic statement, and some, most actually, didn't care. In the end, because of the impracticalities of burning plastic, the band disposed of the albums at the tip, unceremonious and without fanfare.

Over the years the album acheived notoriety among the people who had heard of it. Its legacy remains...
